 Our Company History
 Sonora’s Gardens is a full-service garden center in the heart of "The Finger Lakes Area" – Horseheads, New York.
Always a family owned and operated business since its opening in 2001, Sonora’s Gardens is the cream of the local garden center crop. We specialize in annuals, perennials, hanging baskets, seeds, fertilizers, soil amendments, mulch, stone, and everything you need to make your garden healthy and beautiful. Grown right here in our own greenhouses, our friendly, knowledgeable staff is available to help you choose exactly the right plants.
- Starting with early Spring, Sonora’s Gardens carries a seed display, annual flowers, vegetable plants, the areas’ best selection of perennials, and herbs in a wide variety of pot sizes. We offer a beautiful selection of Amish-built outdoor lawn furniture, including full-size playsets for the children. We specialize in Amish-built storage sheds, garages, horse barns, and gazebos. Sonora’s Gardens offers local delivery throughout the season, for everything we sell, for a reasonable rate.
- In Summer, we continue to carry a great selection of flowers and colorful foliage. We offer a beautiful selection of Amish-built outdoor lawn furniture, including full-size playsets for the children. We specialize in Amish-built storage sheds, garages, horse barns, and gazebos. - In Fall, Sonora’s Gardens carries our own homegrown Mums and winter pansies, along with pumpkins, apples, cider, winter squash and much, much more... Also, Fall at Sonora’s Gardens is a "second spring", a perk of the weather in the beautiful Finger Lakes, with fall foliage at its peak. Join us for our annual Fall Gathering—see Events.
- In Winter, Sonora’s Gardens takes a well-deserved break but we’re still around by chance or by appointment.
As a member of many industry groups, including being certified as a Master Gardener, Sonora’s Gardens can provide speakers for your garden club meetings or school events. We were instrumental in forming the “Horseheads in Bloom” beautification project for the Village of Horseheads, in conjunction with the national program, “America in Bloom”.
